PUB TALES
Pub Tales is an evening of musical comedy by storyteller Chris Sainton-Clark. Chris has consolidated his experiences of working behind bars and in hospitality and has transformed those experiences into hilariously sharp, witty and satirical songs that insightfully poke fun at British pub culture and toxic masculinity in a very harmless and tongue-in-cheek way.
Chris’ songs are incredibly lyric heavy, bordering on rap at points. Athough they‘re full of spoken word poetry and intelligently written, Chris’ songs are essentially very silly and are relatable to anyone who’s worked in hospitality or spent any time in a pub. In the couple of years since Chris started writing these songs, he has sold out his first comedy club performance as well as completely selling out his New Zealand tour. He has successfully been able to demonstrate that even though his songs are quintessentially, British, international audiences still love his work and relate to the characters he sings about.
